The week that was

After a long week of the "runs", Matty seems to be back to normal. All along he was a trooper, eating and sleeping like a champ. Mommy and daddy got to experience catching Matty's cold at the same time, and it was not fun. And it didn't stop there. G-pop, being the good guy he is, helped us out and watched Matty one morning so we could get some sleep, and what did he get for his effort . . . that's right, he too was sick. Well, I hope we are all past it and can get back to work and school.

Matty J is feeling OK!

So after a bout with the runs that lasted about four days, Matty was feeling much better over the weekend. His appetite is back and then some. He is eating more than he ever has. So much so day care had to call us at work today asking if it was ok to give him more food as he was hungry almost all day.

On another note, today was picture day at school and Matty appears to be ready for his modeling career. He hammed it up in front of the camera as he laid on a bean bag a flashed his two pearly whites, then frolicked in a basket of fake leaves where he had the expression of, "What the f#%£ is going on?". We'll be sure to send copies once we get them.

Sick man

Matty J is sick. He has his first ear infection, but you would never know (except for the vomit and diarrhea). He is being a trooper though. Hoping he feels better soon, especially before the weekend as the Jackson's are headed to the Poconos.

6 month check up

Sorry for the delay, but Matty J had his 6 month check up this past week and all is great!!! He weighed in at 17.13 lbs and was 27 inches tall. Both right above the 50th percentile. Of course he needed to get a few shots and was a trooper, more than I can say for mommy and daddy. He continues to amaze us each and very day. He seems to be loving day care, which makes us feel so much better about sending him. With football season right around the corner Kelly and I will begin to sway him to be a fan of one of our teams. Matty has started morticing the pets, Frannie and Ruby, much more and Frannie has begun showering Matty with kisses anytime she gets the chance.

Sorry, no new pictures. I will be sure to send some soon though. Kelly's birthday is tomorrow so Matty will get to spend some quality time with G mom and G pop.

Matty is 1/2 Years Old!

Wow! It's been six months since Matty's arrival and boy has it has been fun. He is getting so big and developing his own little personality. While only six months he is starting to stretch out out nine month PJ's. He is eating solid food like a champ and has started using a sippy cup.

Kelly and I can't get over how lucky we are to have such an amazing son. We are cherishing every minute because the last six months went by in the blink of an eye. We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Matty has teeth!

Big news! Yesterday morning as I was getting the little guy ready for day care I noticed two little bottom teeth starting to come up. Of course being the tough little guy he is you would never have known it. As they come in more we will post pictures.

Friday night Kelly and I went out to dinner and had one of Matty's teachers babysit. We had a very nice time and didn't freak out too much that he was home with someone else. Of course as we started talking about how big Matty has gotten Kelly started crying at the table . . .not a surprise.

And finally, Matty is working on becoming a professional stare contest champ, as seen in the attached picture. Unfortunately Mr. Purple Whale got the best of him again, but upon losing Matty exclaimed "dadada goo ga", we think this means he wants a rematch.

As a reminder Matty J will be 6 months on Monday!!!!

For those who don't know what a Blog is (grand parents I'm doing this for you), it's basically an on-line journal that allows us to share pictures and video's, which is easier than sending e-mails.
